Bluesound adds native Apple Music support as free upgrade

Bluesound has announced that it will soon offer native support for Apple Music, marking a significant improvement for users of its platform. Until now, the option to enjoy Apple Music on multiroom audio systems was practically reserved for Sonos, which had monopolized this market segment. With this update, Bluesound users will be able to access Apple Music without needing to use AirPlay, promising a higher quality sound experience.

## Why it Matters This integration is relevant not only for Bluesound users but also for those seeking alternatives to Sonos. The competition in the multiroom audio market is intensifying, and users now have more options to enjoy their favorite music in high resolution. Additionally, BluOS's compatibility with other devices from well-known brands like NAD and PSB Speakers expands the possibilities for audiophiles.

## What We Know The update will be free for users who already own Bluesound devices or those using the BluOS operating system on their audio equipment. This means users will be able to enjoy a more direct and optimized streaming experience, similar to what platforms like Spotify and TIDAL offer.

## What’s Still Unclear The exact release date for this update has not yet been confirmed, nor has it been specified whether there will be additional features accompanying the integration of Apple Music. Furthermore, it remains unclear if there will be enhancements to BluOS functionality for other streaming services.
