First Apple TV 4K Becomes 'Vintage' Ahead of New Model

Apple has made a notable update by adding the first-generation Apple TV 4K, released in 2017, to its vintage products list. This announcement comes just days before the anticipated launch of the new fourth-generation Apple TV 4K, set to be unveiled on Tuesday, October 13, as part of the 'Welcome home' event.

## Why it matters The addition of the 2017 Apple TV 4K to the vintage list indicates that Apple believes this device has reached the end of its useful life cycle, which may affect the availability of support and replacement parts. For users, this could signify that now is a good time to consider an upgrade, particularly with a new model on the horizon that is likely to offer significant improvements in performance and functionality.

## What we know It has been confirmed that the new Apple TV 4K will be presented on October 13, although Apple has not disclosed specific details about its features or enhancements. The community of users and tech enthusiasts is eagerly awaiting to see what innovations this new device will bring, which could include better streaming capabilities, smoother performance, and a more intuitive interface.

## What remains unclear It is still uncertain whether the new Apple TV 4K will support new display technologies or if it will focus on enhancing the existing user experience. Details regarding pricing and availability also remain unclear until the official announcement.
