Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus to miss out on front camera upgrade

As the launch of Samsung's Galaxy S27 phones approaches, rumors about their specifications are surfacing. Recent reports indicate that the Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus will not feature an upgraded front camera, retaining the same 12-megapixel sensor that has been used for several generations. This news contrasts with rumors suggesting that the S27 Pro and S27 Ultra will receive an upgraded front camera system.

## Why it matters Samsung's choice to not upgrade the front camera in its more affordable models may impact user perception regarding the evolution of the Galaxy S series. In a market where camera quality has become a decisive factor for many consumers, maintaining the same sensor across four consecutive generations could be seen as a lack of innovation.

## What we know So far, it is confirmed that the Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra will feature an enhanced front camera, which may attract users who prioritize selfie and video call quality. However, the S27 and S27 Plus models will fall behind in this regard, potentially leading some buyers to rethink their options.

## What remains unclear It is still unclear whether this decision to not upgrade the front camera in the S27 and S27 Plus models is related to a focus on cost reduction or if it stems from other strategic reasons within the company. More information about the specifications of these phones is expected to emerge as their launch date approaches.
