Google starts selling Pixel and Samsung phones in Play Store

Google has implemented a new option called 'Shop devices' in the Play Store's account switcher, allowing users to explore and purchase devices from Google and Samsung. This integration marks a further step in Google's strategy to sell its hardware directly through its most utilized platform, making it easier for users already immersed in the Android ecosystem.

The inclusion of devices like the Galaxy S26 Ultra and Galaxy S26 alongside Pixel phones highlights the collaboration between Google and Samsung, two tech giants aiming to provide users with a more cohesive experience. This move is not new for Google, which had already started promoting other hardware products, such as the Galaxy Watch 8, within its digital store.

## Why it matters This change is significant as it simplifies the purchasing process for Android users, who can now acquire high-end devices directly from the Play Store, where they spend much of their time. Additionally, this strategy reinforces Google's position in the hardware market by facilitating the purchase of products that complement its software and services.
