HomePod Mini 1 Will Also Support Siri AI Later This Year

According to a report from CNET, the first-generation HomePod Mini will not be left behind in adopting Siri AI, as it is expected to receive this functionality later this year via a software update. This means that users who own the original model will be able to enjoy the improvements in Siri's artificial intelligence, just like the owners of the new HomePod Mini 2, which will also feature a faster processor, the S10.

## Why it matters This update is significant as it demonstrates Apple's commitment to keeping its older devices relevant and functional as technology advances. For users, this means they won't have to purchase the latest model to benefit from enhancements in artificial intelligence, which may influence their future buying decisions.

## What we know The original HomePod Mini will be updated to support Siri AI, allowing users to access a smarter and more efficient assistant. However, the announcement has not been officially confirmed by Apple, as specific details are still not found on their official website.

## What remains unclear The exact release date for the update has yet to be confirmed, as well as what other features it might include. The lack of information on Apple's site also raises questions about the extent of compatibility and whether there will be other significant changes for the first-generation HomePod Mini.
