New LG Accessories with iPhone Features Leaked

Recent leaks have revealed details about a new range of smart home accessories that LG is developing in collaboration with Apple. These devices, including thermostats, temperature sensors, and smart locks, will allow users to interact with them more intuitively using their iPhones. One of the standout features is the proximity control, which will activate shortcuts on the iPhone when brought close to the accessory.

## Why it matters The integration of these features not only enhances the user experience by simplifying access to smart home device controls but also showcases Apple's commitment to the smart home ecosystem. This collaboration could attract more users to LG's products, expanding opportunities for both manufacturers.

## What we know The proximity control feature will enable the iPhone to display a shortcut on the screen when tapped against or brought close to an accessory. For instance, when interacting with a thermostat, the iPhone will present an "Open Controls" option. In the case of cameras and doorbells, a camera viewer will be displayed. This interaction is also expected to work on iPads and iPhones that do not include Dynamic Island.

## What remains unclear The pricing of these devices and the exact launch date have not yet been confirmed. Additionally, it is unclear whether there will be any additional features that may be revealed in the future. The company has not detailed how these accessories will integrate into Apple's ecosystem, leaving users awaiting more information.
