Suidek launches 7-in-1 DVD and SSD hub for $45

The resurgence of physical media has sparked renewed interest in devices that not only read but also write CDs and DVDs. Suidek's latest release is a 7-in-1 external hub that combines the functionality of a disc reader with the versatility of multiple ports, including an M.2 NVMe slot for SSDs, all for a price of $45 on Amazon.

This device not only allows for playing and burning CDs and DVDs at speeds of 24x and 8x respectively, but it also features two USB-A 2.0 ports, one USB-C port, and slots for SD and microSD cards. This makes it a comprehensive solution for those looking for gear that handles both physical media and digital storage.

## Why it matters The resurgence of physical media has been driven by collectors and archivists who value the durability and quality of these formats. The Suidek 7-in-1 is particularly appealing to laptop owners, who often lack built-in optical drives and can now combine the functionality of a disc reader with the ability to read and write in various storage formats.

## What we know The external hub from Suidek can perform multiple functions simultaneously, offering an M.2 NVMe interface with transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps. This means that, in addition to its disc reading and writing capabilities, it can be used for fast data transfers to and from an SSD.

## What remains unclear It has not yet been confirmed whether the device will be compatible with all operating systems, and the company has not provided details regarding warranty or technical support. This is something for potential buyers to consider before investing in this technology.
