XGIMI reveals US pricing for new 4K projectors

XGIMI has officially announced the pricing for its new Aura 3 Max and Aura 3 Pro projectors in the US, opening reservations ahead of their Kickstarter launch scheduled for October 20. The Aura 3 Max will be priced at $2,399, while the Aura 3 Pro will cost $2,199, though early buyers can benefit from a refundable $50 deposit that lowers the price by $200 for both models.

These projectors are designed to offer a cinematic experience at home, highlighting features such as Google TV, 4K at 120Hz, and ultra-short throw projection. With these advancements, XGIMI aims to position its products in the luxury segment of the TV market, where prices are significantly high, but the promised functionalities could justify the investment.

The presentation of the projectors at the IFA trade show made it clear that XGIMI is betting on taking projection technology to a new level, combining exceptional image quality with an intuitive user experience thanks to Google TV. This could attract home cinema enthusiasts looking for alternatives to traditional televisions.

## Why it matters The launch of these projectors marks a significant step in the evolution of home entertainment technology. The ability to enjoy 4K content from the comfort of home, with space-saving projection, could change how consumers think about their home cinema setups.

Additionally, XGIMI's pricing strategy, which includes an initial discount for Kickstarter backers, could incentivize more users to consider investing in a high-end projector instead of a conventional television.

## What we know XGIMI will start shipping the projectors in December, meaning early buyers will be able to enjoy their new technology just in time for the holidays.

## What remains unclear It has yet to be confirmed whether there will be other versions or additional features in the Aura 3 models beyond what has been announced, nor how they will compare to other high-end projectors on the market.
