Apple hints at iPad Mini 8 with new Smart Folio

Apple has recently added a Smart Folio for the iPad Mini to its French regulatory website, indicating that a new version of the iPad Mini is on the horizon. This model, identified as A3632, does not match the model numbers of current or past iPad Mini cases, suggesting potential design changes for the device.

Since the launch of the iPad Mini 6 and Mini 7, which both use the same Smart Folio, no new case has been introduced since 2021. The inclusion of this new Smart Folio implies that existing cases may not fit the upcoming iPad Mini, which could be an important factor for users looking to upgrade their devices.

Rumors suggest that the iPad Mini 8 will be unveiled on October 27 or 28, alongside a new OLED MacBook Pro. This new iPad Mini could feature an OLED display and a more water-resistant design, characteristics that are likely to appeal to users seeking a more advanced and durable device.

## Why it matters The arrival of a new iPad Mini could revitalize Apple's product line, particularly for users who prefer more compact devices. A more resilient design and an OLED display would not only enhance the user experience but could also make the iPad Mini 8 a stronger competitor in the tablet market.

## What we know The newly listed Smart Folio suggests that Apple is preparing for the launch of an iPad Mini 8 with significant design changes. Additionally, this new model is expected to include an OLED display and improvements in water resistance.

## What remains unclear The exact specifications of the iPad Mini 8 have yet to be confirmed, and it is uncertain whether there will be any additional features. The exact launch date is also still in question, although it is rumored to be at the end of October.
