HeliBoard: the open source keyboard that protects your privacy

Concerns about privacy when using keyboard apps have led some users to seek alternatives that do not collect data. Gboard, Google's keyboard, is known for its speed and predictive capabilities, but also for the amount of information it gathers about users, prompting some to explore safer options. Recently, a user shared their experience of switching from Gboard to HeliBoard, an open source keyboard that stands out for not connecting to the internet and offering detailed customization.

## Why it matters Using keyboards that collect data can be a concern for those who value their privacy. With HeliBoard, users can enjoy an efficient keyboard without compromising their personal information, representing an interesting alternative in a world where data is becoming increasingly valuable.

## What we know HeliBoard is presented as a robust option for those looking for a keyboard that respects their privacy. Unlike other keyboards, HeliBoard allows for fine-tuned customization, meaning users can tailor the experience to their specific needs. This can be appealing for those with particular preferences in keyboard design and functionality.

## What remains unclear It is still unknown how effective HeliBoard's functionality is compared to more established keyboards like Gboard in terms of text prediction and voice recognition. Additionally, it has not been detailed whether HeliBoard presents any limitations that could affect users who rely on advanced features.
