Nest doorbells bring back Halloween chimes for a limited time

Google has added a festive touch to its Nest doorbells just in time for Halloween, bringing back nine themed chimes that allow users to welcome visitors with spooky sounds. This new feature comes with a recent update to the Google Home app, enabling users to preview the chimes directly from their phones without having to ring the doorbell.

With this update, Nest doorbell owners can choose from a variety of options that go beyond the traditional 'ding-dong'. This not only adds a fun element to the experience of greeting trick-or-treaters but also allows users to personalize how they interact with their visitors during the Halloween season.

## Why it matters This initiative from Google not only aims to make Halloween more enjoyable but also highlights how smart home technology can interweave with cultural celebrations and traditions. By offering options like these, Google shows that its smart devices can adapt to festivities, making them more appealing to users.

## What we know The Halloween-themed chimes will be available for a limited time, so users should take advantage of this opportunity before they disappear on November 1. The variety of chimes allows users to select the one that best fits their style and the atmosphere they want to create in their homes.

## What is still unclear It has yet to be confirmed whether Google plans to introduce more themed chimes for other holidays in the future, which could further enhance the customization of Nest doorbells.
