Samsung Gallery app now syncs with Google Photos

Samsung has made a significant change to its Gallery app for Galaxy device users by allowing it to sync directly with Google Photos. Previously, the integration was focused on OneDrive, but now users will be able to enjoy a smoother experience when backing up their images to the cloud using Google Photos, an application widely appreciated for its accessibility and image organization.

## Why it matters This change is important because many Samsung users preferred to use Google Photos for cloud storage due to its smart image management and search capabilities. The direct integration simplifies the process, eliminating the need to use multiple apps for photo backup.

## What we know The new syncing feature allows Samsung Gallery users to back up their photos directly to Google Photos, making it easier to access their images from any device linked to their Google account. This option is particularly beneficial for those already familiar with the Google ecosystem and who prefer to keep their photos in one place.

## What’s still unclear However, it has not yet been confirmed whether this new integration provides all the capabilities that users get when using Google Photos directly. For instance, there have been no details on potential limitations regarding image quality or specific editing features that may differ from the full Google Photos experience.
